Shifnal Town Plan is a comprehensive document which sets out a vision of how the community wants the town to develop over the next five to ten years. Supported by the Countryside Agency and the Community Council of Shropshire, Shifnal's Town Plan was drawn up after detailed consultation with all the citizens of Shifnal from the very young to the very old.

The plan sets out what is important to the people of Shifnal and outlines a series of action plans which are designed to bring those priorities about. It gives Shifnal the chance to influence local decision making and to bid for extra funding for improvement schemes. Typical issues include planning, traffic problems, transport, facilities for young people and the elderly, protection of the rural landscape and the environment.
